University of Teesside   2008/2009

Stephen Stott

Through using the AA2A scheme I would like to approach my time at the University of Teesside with a set day within a week. The day would serve as a basis for developing any ideas I would have. The rest of the week would also be a time to reflect and to continue working on the ideas within my studio.

Through having access to the University of Teesside’s art facilities I would particularly like to use the process of printing to further develop my work. I would like to pay attention to etching and improve my work after analysing the prints completed at BA level. I hope to achieve this through experimentation at an early stage of the access. I would then hope that I could introduce different disciplines within printmaking to further develop which will ultimately inform my specialist area, painting.

To be in the university environment that promotes experimentation will be a huge help for me. It will allow me to continue to build upon what I had learnt previously. This in turn will permit me to realise new ideas and using my own critical analysis I want to try and take my work to a new level.
