The images and short video pieces produced whilst on the AA2A scheme are the beginnings of a research project entitled 'Rugs On Their Coats'. The project includes capturing both still and moving images of the artist in movement based performance. These performative images are layered together with other visual material aiming to constantly shift or flicker between references to romanticism, portraiture of the female form and contemporary society's current repulsion for female body hair.
