The AA2A scheme has provided the opportunity and facilities for me to research hand screen-printing repeat designs into wallpapers. The chance to focus on this and use the well-equipped print studio has been invaluable. The guidance and support I received from the technicians was especially useful and appreciated.

The possibility to carry out this research has enabled me to reflect on areas of my artistic practice and expand my ideas. One of the most rewarding aspects of the residency was the opportunity to discuss ideas with the other artists on the residency. Since the end of the residency I have been able to identify ways to take my work forward without access to specialized equipment and this is a result of re-assessing my practice within the context of the AA2A residency.

I am very happy with how the residency went. Not only was I able to achieve my aim of producing a new piece of work but, perhaps most importantly, it has helped me to identify future developments.
