Joanna Millett
In her original application Jo proposed to use video, including 360 degree tracking. She wanted to experiment with the technology's limitations (static, motion blur etc) to examine surface patterns in 'public spaces'.
Wall takes a surface (a painted brick wall) and alters it through a
combination of colour and camera motion, animating the bricks and mortar. Tracking flowing patterns appear three dimensional. 'wall' is a reminder that the abstract is never far away from the representational.
