Thanks to the friendly and amenable textile department at Cleveland College of Art, I have successfully completed and published my first Children's Picture Book. I have focused on a low tech approach for 'Its Raining' using collage and stitch to create a series of images which illustrate the adventures of the central character, April Showers. The AA2A scheme has allowed me the space outside of home to develop ideas in a hugely creative and supportive environment with good access to the facilities of the department. I have developed a good relationship with a number of students who I feel have been inspired by my work and in turn I have been inspired by-the experience was very much an exchange!
