The opportunity to access the facilities within Teesside University will allow me to realize the second part of an installation trilogy that incorporates film in an exhibition of my sculpture. This will take the form of a multi sensory installation combining tactile mixed media sculpture in ceramic, metal and glass to provide a visually stimulating and haptic experience for the spectator.

A development will be the inclusion of braille text within the surface texture of the ceramic and metal pieces, which will feature original work by a poet with whom I am currently collaborating. This will not only extend the meaning and context of the sculpture but also create an extra dimension for the visually impaired.
