I want to learn stop motion animation techniques to develop my practice. I currently use the physical characteristics of video such as slow motion or reverse direction of movement in order to create quirky/surreal short pieces of work using text and animals. This has obvious limitations and stop motion animation may provide a way of developing my ideas further.

This opportunity will give me a focused period of time to play, explore and engage in a specific project in a supportive artistic environment.

I want to share and gain insight and inspiration through interaction with students and staff whilst learning a new technique and creating a new piece of work.
