University College WorcesterDiane BarkerI have been a photographer for a number of years, specialising in photographing Tibetans and Tibetan culture - both inside and outside Tibet. I want to progress my work into Video and have taken the opportunity to use the Digital Video facilities of UCW. Lacking Tibetans in Worcestershire to film I turned to my earlier passion for the English landscape. Influenced by both Chinese cinema and Video artist Bill Viola I am interested to shoot Digital Video as if it is a still photo - but a photo that subtly moves. I have been exploring various ways to use the Digital Video camera and experimenting with simple editing techniques on my laptop. I have already noticed how the way I chose to shoot Digital Video is feeding back into my still photography and changing the way I work. It is early days in a new medium and very exciting times.
