London Metropolitan UniversityAlexe DilworthMy current work connects material, image and object. Through the use of microscopes the mundane was seen in another light. For me the microscopic lens opened up a new world, it became the search for another layer of meaning. I then moved into work dealing with memory and the subconscious. This work centred on mythology, dreams, paradox and history. These are themes that I would like to explore more fully. It is my intention to continue with this work and to undertake experiments with printmaking techniques, incorporating photography and utilising light where appropriate.
